GRETCHEN'S FORTY WINKS
Roger Halsey arrived at home and he said to her wife, Gretchen, he had a hard work. After that, they went to have dinner with George Tompkins. Roger tells him he has a work and George said he works too hard. When they left, Roger said to Gretchen he could make more money than George, but in her opinion, forty days were a lot of time and she would want to sleep for those days. One day, Gretchen invited George to her house and Roger and he argued about the work. Roger threw him out, but Gretchen didn't agree, she got angry and she went to her bedroom. Then, Roger put a spoonful of white powder into the cup of coffee and took away it to Gretchen. When he returned, the coffee cup was empty, and Roger caught Gretchen's shoes. He sent the layouts to H.G.Garrod, and this one telephoned him to say that it was a wonderful work. In a short time, Gretchen woke up. Roger said he will make a lot of money. Then, Gretchen thought she had lost a day and all her shoes. Roger telephoned the doctor and he said Gretchen needed to rest. Moreover he told George had a nervous break-down.
